Flat wire conveyor belts can rust. What should we do when this happens? A friend suggested that pickling paste can remove the rust. Our company’s staff have verified through practical testing that pickling paste is effective. So, how exactly do we use it?
Pickling paste can improve the surface finish of the flat wire conveyor belt, forming a dense, complete, and strongly adhesive passivation film on the surface, extending the equipment’s lifespan.
Operating instructions:
1、Apply the pickling paste to the surface of the flat wire conveyor belt, with a coating thickness of 0.5-2mm.
2、The reaction time is generally 3-10 minutes or more. When used below 0℃ or on areas with thick rust, the time should be extended accordingly.
3、During the process, it’s best to scrub the surface several times with a brush. After the surface rust is completely removed, rinse with clean water (lime water or alkaline water is better) to prevent re-rusting.
4、If the pickling paste separates into layers, do not discard it. Shake or stir it well before use.
